British Prime Minister Tony Blair will hold talks with President George W. Bush in Washington on July 28 on the new Middle East crisis and other world troublespots, the White House said Friday.
It will be Blair's second visit to the White House in less than two months.
"The two leaders will consult on efforts to secure a lasting peace in the Middle East, consolidate democracy in Iraq and Afghanistan, prevent Iran from obtaining the means to build nuclear weapons, end the genocide in Darfur, and promote free and fair trade," said a White House statement.
"The United States has no closer ally and partner than the United Kingdom, and the president appreciates the prime minister's leadership and vision," added the statement.
Bush and Blair held talks at the White House on May 26, which were then focused on Iraq.
The international community is now confronted by new Middle East tensions as Israel pursues attacks against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon which have left more than 325 dead and forced hundreds of thousands to flee their homes.
