A Palestinian militant died Tuesday from injuries sustained earlier this month in an Israeli air strike against a car carrying activists from the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, a medic said.
The 35-year-old member of the Al-Quds Brigades was wounded in the air strike targeting the vehicle between Gaza City and Bureij refugee camp.
Tuesday's death brought to 115 the number of Palestinians killed since Israel stepped up a massive military operation in the Gaza Strip on July 5, after Palestinian militants seized one of its soldiers in a cross-border raid.
Since the start of the latest Palestinian uprising in September 2000, 5,259 people have been killed, the vast majority of them Palestinians, according to an AFP count.
