ORBIMAGE has signed an exclusive agreement with Aerial Images to provide ORBIMAGE data products on TerraServer.Com for sale at consumer prices.

Images to be offered include the OrbView Cities data set and additional OrbView-2 images, along with future imagery from the upcoming OrbView 3 & 4 satellites.

TerraServer is the world¿s leading Internet web site for consumer access to satellite imagery. TerraServer is a joint development between Aerial Images, Microsoft, Compaq and Kodak, which provides hard copy purchased via TerraServer.com.

In addition to the TerraServer agreement, ORBIMAGE has obtained the right to re-distribute Aerial Image¿s SPIN-2 basic and value-added imagery products generated from Russian two-meter resolution satellites through its reseller network and online.

This agreement establishes ORBIMAGE data, along with SPIN-2 images, as the only high-resolution satellite imagery to be offered on TerraServer.

Visitors to TerraServer.com will be able to browse a large number of ORBIMAGE¿s one-meter resolution images of U.S. and foreign cities at no cost, and purchase small image areas in digital or print form at consumer-level prices.

"We are very excited to offer ORBIMAGE¿s one-meter imagery on TerraServer," said Aerial Images President John Hoffman. "This agreement will bring a steady stream of new high-resolution imagery to the TerraServer customer base."

Gilbert D. Rye, ORBIMAGE President, said, "Our TerraServer relationship helps change the 30-year paradigm that has limited satellite imagery to just scientists and government users by now making imagery available for everyday, consumer use."
