Spain's defence and foreign ministers were expected to arrive in Afghanistan Tuesday for a Christmas visit to troops serving with international forces there, Spanish media reported.
The two ministers, Carme Chacon and Miguel Angel Moratinos, paying their third visit to the war-torn country, were expected to land at Herat in western Afghanistan, public television said.
Around 750 Spanish troops serve in NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) fighting against the Taliban, who were ousted from power in late 2001.
