True South Renewables has announced that it will deploy their solar power plant O and M solution: Total Care at the 30 megawatt Webberville Solar project, one of the largest solar PV systems in the U.S.

TSR was selected by Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc., the engineering, procurement, construction and operations contractor for the project. As part of Total Care, TSR's key objective will be to ensure that the power plant achieves high system availability and meets all performance criteria.

To fulfill this, TSR plant operators will manage all plant activities including daily maintenance on all OEM and BOS components, performance monitoring and reporting, 24/hr emergency system restoration, spare parts inventory, and warranty management.

During the 5 year contract, the plant's performance will be monitored both onsite at the Operations and Maintenance Center and at TSR's national headquarters located in Huntington Beach, CA.

Additionally, TSR will perform an independent commissioning of the Webberville Solar Project by implementing a unique and first-in-industry Construction Integrated System Commissioning protocol.

CISC, as it is called, has been designed specifically for large scale solar projects to coincide with construction, allowing TSR to bring PV power plants like the Webberville Solar project online and operational on schedule, meet specifications, and quality control by actively identifying potential installation discrepancies before they are duplicated and the project is completed.

TSR is scheduled to begin pre-commissioning of the Webberville Solar project in early September, 2011.
