Renusol America introduces PV America West attendees to solar mounting solutions that are bringing attention to job creation in the United States at a time when jobs are at the top of America's political agenda.
Renusol America is proving to the industry that there's an opportunity to drive 'America-centric' product innovation, manufacturing and job growth in the solar industry here, rather than shipping technology and jobs overseas.
"We believe that solar product solutions that are designed and engineered specifically for US market applications– and made in the USA-is where the US solar market is headed," said Bart Leusink, Renusol America's President and CEO.
Mr. Leusink also pointed out that while the public debate is focused now on panels made in China and 'dumped' at low price on the US market, over 94% of the job creation in the solar supply chain exists outside of manufacturing the panels and include project design and engineering, distribution, installation and maintenance work, according to the US Solar Energy Trade Association.
Renusol America will showcase two 'made in the USA' rooftop mounting solutions at PV America West: the Renusol VS for pitched roofs and the Renusol CS60 for flat roofs.
The Renusol CS60 is the first-ever 'one unit per one PV panel' mounting system, which is changing how solar arrays are deployed on flat rooftops in America by eliminating the layout restrictions inherent to traditional, rigid aluminum racking rails. Manufactured in the Midwest, the Renusol CS60 offers several solutions developed specifically for the US solar market:
+ Made with a 100% recycled HMWPE base, bringing a sustainable building solution to meet this growing demand in the US
+ Pre-molded unit, having fewer and lighter parts, which means less labor-intensive installation, no maintenance and more profitable installations for solar installers.
+ Makes flexible rooftop panel layouts possible, addressing both new building and retrofit vertical load considerations for engineers.
All engineering for the Renusol CS60 took place in the U.S. making for an even more all-American product. The units were designed with a specific shape and with the material strength needed to withstand the wide range of climatic conditions-extreme temperatures, ice and snow– and other natural forces that exist across the U.S. They can either be ballasted or attached to the roof in areas where hurricanes/tornados and earthquakes pose a threat.
The Renusol CS60 innovation also incorporates recent groundbreaking American-based wind tunnel study results showing how wind forces vary across a roof, making the flexible rooftop panel placement solution of the Renusol CS60 even more valuable for engineering installations.
The Renusol VS is a light and flexible system for pitched roofs. Pre-assembled clamps, fastener-free splice connectors, and slide-free L-feet minimize installation time. This system offers a "one-size-fits-all" mounting solution, easy inventory maintenance and simple installation and adjusts quickly for different size modules from 30 to 50 mm.
