Globecomm Systems has been awarded a contract, through DasNet Corporation, valued at approximately $7.4 million; with options that if exercised brings the potential contract value to approximately $11 million.

The contract is fully funded by the U.S. Government.

Pursuant to the contract, Globecomm and DasNet will provide all the equipment and personnel necessary to support a communications network for the Afghan National Army, including operations and maintenance of the network for a period of one year.
