At least four people were killed Sunday when a viaduct collapsed in central China, crushing several vehicles including a bus, state media reported citing local officials.
The official Xinhua news agency said the death toll was likely to rise as firefighters and armed police searched through the rubble in the city of Zhuzhou in Hunan province for more vehicles and possible victims.
Rescuers had so far pulled four bodies out of the debris, while 15 injured were rushed to hospital, the report said, adding that extra digging machines had been brought to the scene.
The cause of the collapse was not immediately known, Xinhua said.
