Big Oil’s Negative Drumbeat Falling On Deaf Ears

Omaha NE (SPX) Dec 11, 2007 - Despite reports of a well-publicized and well-funded anti-ethanol misinformation campaign, an overwhelming majority of consumers still believe the U.S. is too dependent on foreign sources of oil. A national survey, commissioned by the Ethanol Promotion and Information Council (EPIC), finds that nearly a third of respondents indicated that their attitude toward ethanol has become more favorable over the last six months; 62 percent reported their opinions stayed the same.

Constellation NewEnergy Signs Renewable Energy Agreement With The InterContinental Chicago Hotel

Baltimore MD (SPX) Dec 11, 2007 - Constellation Energy has announced that its subsidiary, Constellation NewEnergy, has entered into a green electricity purchase agreement with the InterContinental Chicago Hotel. As part of the agreement, Constellation NewEnergy will secure approximately two million kilowatt hours of Green-e certified Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) through its NewMix Super(SM) product to match 50 percent of the hotel's electricity usage.
