ATI Networks Inc announced Wendesday the recent successful launch of 8 new ORBCOMM LEO satellites. ATI's LOGITRAK software is the leading wireless communications and fleet tracking software using the new LEO satellite system launched by ORBCOMM over the past year. "LOGITRAK enables business customers to immediately use the world's first commercial Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite service to communicate via email with, and to automatically track the locations of, mobile people and assets ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. " said Larry Bestor, President of ATI. "Other companies are still in the planning and development stages of their LEO networks, while we are able to begin providing messaging and asset tracking services today."
ATI Networks first introduced LOGITRAK in December 1995. It was widely
acclaimed at 1995 Fall Internet World as the first commercially available
system to provide users with real-time mobile data communications from a dial-up Internet connection. In August 1998, LOGITRAK was enhanced to use Orbcomm's new Low-Earth Orbiting network of 28 communications satellites. The LEO network virtually eliminates the dead zones that previously existed with other wireless systems, now making communications possible anywhere in the world.
ATI Networks, Inc. offers several tracking and satellite communications
products, including LOGITRAK, for both mobile communications and GPS tracking applications.
