Serbia on Thursday reported its third death from swine flu, a 58-year old woman with a heart condition, B92 radio said.

The woman showed first symptoms on October 29 and died in a hospital of the central town of Cuprija.

The second swine flu patient had died on her way to a hospital on Tuesday while the first death was reported on October 21.

Serbian authorities have registered nearly 200 people in Serbia infected with the virus since June but doctors suspect that the real caseload is much higher.

The A(H1N1) virus has killed at least 5,700 people since it was first reported in April in Mexico, according to a WHO tally.
