SPACEHAB said it has reached a joint-venture subcontracting agreement with ReDe/Critique to seek a $17 million, five-year NASA resource management contract.
"This business opportunity is right up our alley," said Richard Fitts, SPACEHAB's vice president for government services. "We have been providing configuration management services to NASA's International Space Station since 1997."
The NASA contract has been proposed by its Engineering Directorate, which is responsible for providing engineering design, development and test support for spaceflight programs. The agency released a request for proposals, due next month, to support this indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract initiative with an expected award notification in September.
"Our team capabilities have been enhanced by SPACEHAB's expertise and exceptional record in configuration management at Johnson Space Center," said Hubert Glover, president of the ReDe/Critique joint venture.
Last performance period, SPACEHAB, a member of NASA's Program Integration and Control contract for the International Space Station, earned a rare 100 percent award fee evaluation score from the agency's Performance Evaluation Board.
