S.P. Korolev RSC Energia specialists jointly with representatives of related enterprises and organizations of the branch perform preflight processing of the Progress M-59 transport cargo vehicle the launch of which to the International Space Station is scheduled for January 18, 2007.
In accordance with the processing schedule, within the period from November 29 to January 8 the vehicle was accepted after its transportation from the RSC Energia Experimental Machine-building Plant to the cosmodrome, electrical tests, integrated tests of the vehicle's systems have been prepared and performed, the Kurs docking radio system and the vehicle leak tightness were verified.
On January 8, 2007, the Technical Management meeting was held, where a decision was made on Progress M-59 loading with propellant components and compressed gases. Today, the loading has been completed.
