The popularity of small space missions based on the CubeSat concept remains strong among academia, industry and space agencies.
The availability of off-the-shelf systems from various suppliers around the world enables research groups and project teams to focus their attention towards payload development and operations, rather than having to design all the required support equipment themselves.
With the launch of CubeSatShop.com, ISIS aims to make all required information for selection of off-theshelf components available online to CubeSat developers. Of course, you can also order your selected components directly on the site.
Steps are taken to further improve the compatibility of these available systems by close co-operation between the various suppliers. This will eventually result in plug-and-play configuration for CubeSats, similar to today's computer hardware configuration.
ISIS hopes to welcome all suppliers of CubeSat products to the webshop to be able to provide the CubeSat developers community with a complete overview of available hardware and software.
GomSpace ApS from Aalborg, Denmark has already joined the website with its products and several other companies are expected to follow soon.
