Comtech Telecommunications announced Sunday it has received orders totaling $9.2 million for its mobile satellite data communications transceivers. The orders are for the supply of Comtech's Model 2011 transceivers.
The transceivers are integral to the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below – Blue Force Tracking (FBCB2-BFT) program, a battle command real-time situational awareness and control system. These transceivers are critical in maintaining communications when line-of-sight channels are unavailable.
The orders were received on the company's Movement Tracking System, or MTS, contract with the U.S. Army. Total orders received to date against the $418.2 million MTS contract increased to $258.0 million.

"The U.S. Department of Defense's continuing commitment to the Blue Force Tracking program is tangible evidence of the critical role our technology plays in meeting the communications requirements of today's U.S. military."
