Canadian Solar has announced that it has donated 5,000 Euros to the Klimaschutz- und Solarforderverein am Gymnasium School in Neutraubling, Germany.
The donation will be used to partially finance a 10 kWp rooftop solar project using our CS6A-150 modules.
Other donors include students, teachers and alumni, as well as private individuals.
The school will in turn use the net proceeds from the project to help fund projects in developing nations.
Gregory Spanoudakis, President for European Operations said, "This project is an excellent example of what organizations and individuals who are committed to environmental sustainability can achieve. We are proud to support it and we are proud that the school has chosen our e-Modules for their array.
"Production of UMG material has a much smaller environmental footprint than conventional silicon due to its less energy-intensive manufacturing method and because the process employs fewer chemicals."
