Trina Solar Limited has supplied 8.8 MW of PV modules to Citus Power as part of one of the largest solar projects in Turkey. The Yahyali Solar Power Plant was connected to the grid in August 2016 and will generate 12,500 MWh of electricity per year – enough to power 2,000 homes.

33,800 Trina Solar multicrystalline 260 W 60-cell Honey modules (TSM-PC05A) have been installed to power the solar PV plant, which is one of the 10 largest solar projects in Turkey. The plant is situated in Yahyali, in Kayseri province in Central Anatolia on a 160,000 m2 (40 acres) site and was developed by renewable energy specialist Citus Power, which also assumes the EPC role for the project.

Financed by the Turkiye Finans Participation Bank, the project's planning phase started in late 2014, and Citus obtained the approval from TEDAS (Turkey Electricity Distribution Company) in 2015. Trina Solar provided the solar modules for the various installation phases from Q4 2015 until Q2 2016.The installation of the project was completed in summer 2016 and connected to the grid in August. The generated power will be sold to the Turkish state for the first 10 years under the applicable FIT mechanism.
