Kollmorgen Electro Optical Awarded $3.7M Contract For SeaScout
Northampton MA (SPX) Sep 07, 2005 Kollmorgen Electro-Optical of has been awarded a contract for its SeaScout Electro-Optical Surveillance Systems (EOSS). The SeaScout EOSS is a stabilized, integrated imaging system which provides 360 degree day and night surveillance. The system includes high resolution-color day imaging, multi-field of view night vision, automatic perimeter scanning, image tracking, and an eye-safe laser rangefinder. The Sea Scout is a lighter and more compact version of Kollmorgen's legacy MK46 Optical system, which is currently aboard more the 50 U.S. Naval platforms. The work will be performed at Kollmorgen's Northampton, MA, Brattleboro, VT and Groton, CT facilities and is expected to be complete by March 2006. Kollmorgen is a leader in the design, manufacture, and supply of state-of-the-art Stabilized Optical Sensor platforms.
