Five radioactive trucks stopped at Belarus border Minsk (AFP) Nov 13, 2007 Five trucks emitting high levels of radiation have been stopped on the border between Poland and Belarus, state television in Minsk said Tuesday. "Four trucks arriving from Italy and Germany with a cargo of firebricks, ceramic quarry tiles and food colourings were stopped at the Polish-Belarus border," Belarus TV cited a high-ranking official at the Ministry for Emergency Situations as saying. A fifth truck carrying a similar cargo was stopped at the Ukrainian-Belarus border, according to the same source. Tests at the border revealed radiation levels two and a half times the normal level. The trucks are currently being examined by ministry specialists.
