EDF says it will share nuclear experience with US group Exelon

Paris (AFP) May 19, 2008
French electricity generator EDF said on Monday that it had reached accord to share information in the nuclear field with Exelon, the leading US electricity provider.

An EDF spokeswoman told AFP that the two groups reached a cooperation accord at the end of April "to share respective experiences as nuclear operators."

A report on the deal appeared in Les Echos business daily on Monday.

Nuclear power operator British Energy said Friday that it has received several offers from parties interested in the company as Britain prepares major new atomic energy investment.
