Three Palestinians wounded in Israeli air raid
Gaza City, Aug 3, 2006 Three Palestinians were wounded Thursday, two of them seriously, by an Israeli air strike on Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian hospital sources said. An Israeli army spokesman said the raid targeted two armed men, and that a second explosion following the air strike indiciated that the men were carrying explosives. Early Thursday, the Israeli military launched a major military incursion in Rafah, killing eight Palestinians including one infant. Israel pounds south Beirut despite Hezbollah warning
